The stroopwafel (literally translated as “syrup waffle”) is a traditional Dutch treat, first baked over 200 years ago in the town of Gouda. In the Netherlands, more than 220 million stroopwafels are consumed each year, and an even greater number are exported. Stroopwafels are also becoming increasingly popular outside the Netherlands. However, due to adjustments to the recipe, it is often difficult to find stroopwafels made with the right ingredients far beyond the Dutch borders. Unfortunately, these changes do not always enhance the authentic taste that we, as Dutch people, know and love.
For both Dutch and non-Dutch people who have discovered the stroopwafel during a visit to our country, we have developed Stroopwafels.Online. Through this webshop, you can order authentic stroopwafels from Gouda. We do not keep stock – each stroopwafel is freshly baked after you place your order and then shipped directly to you.
